Funding

Mortgage refinancing loans secured by transferred mortgage rights and funded through mortgage bonds. - Hungary

1 Funding /risk transfer / both Funding only. The partner bank retains the customer loan and the underlying borrower credit risk.
2 Eligible assets Long-term Hungarian mortgage loans secured by qualifying residential or commercial property and meeting the Mortgage Act, mortgage-bond cover rules and MBH Mortgage Bank's contractual and underwriting criteria.
3 Brief description of structure for each A partner bank keeps its customer mortgage loan but sells/transfers an independent or separate mortgage right to MBH Mortgage Bank as security and draws a refinancing mortgage loan. Refinancing principal repayments are structured to mirror the underlying borrower-loan amortisation; MBH funds itself with mortgage bonds.
4 Fees / pricing structure The refinancing rate is expected to reflect MBH Mortgage Bank's mortgage-bond/market funding cost plus liquidity, hedging, capital and operating margins. Contractual rates and any ancillary fees are bilateral and should be verified.
5 Servicing The partner/originating bank remains the borrower-facing lender and servicer, collecting payments and managing arrears.
6 Risk sharing (if appropriate) The partner bank retains the customer's credit risk and remains the direct refinancing obligor. MBH Mortgage Bank is exposed principally to the partner bank, with the transferred mortgage rights as security and possible additional support from the MBH integration/joint-liability framework.
7 Other Comments The structure transfers mortgage security rights rather than the customer receivables themselves.
